Johnny Rockets plans for Polish expansion

Johnny Rockets have signed a franchise agreement for Poland as they announce a development agreement with HDS Polska Group to build and operate 10 Johnny Rockets restaurants over the next 10 years. The group plans to open its first Johnny Rockets restaurant in Warsaw.

HDS Polska Group is a subsidiary of publicly traded company Lagardere Services.

After almost 20 years of presence in Poland, it operates a network of more than 800 outlets in the Polish market including convenience store, coffee shops and full service restaurants.

James Walker, President of Operations and Development for Johnny Rockets said: "Our expansion into Poland marks Johnny Rockets' entry into our 27th country, paving the way for future growth in Europe, particularly France, Germany, United Kingdom and other major European markets. With an established reputation of providing Polish consumers with new and successful travel, retail and food service concepts, HDS Polska Group is the ideal partner to introduce Johnny Rockets' all-American dining experience to the Polish market."

The first Johnny Rockets in Poland is expected to launch in early 2016. Johnny Rockets currently operates more than 125 restaurants outside the US via their franchise partners, and the brand has plans to double this number by 2017.
