Outback Steakhouse seeks franchise partners

USA-based Australian-themed restaurant chain Outback Steakhouse was established in 1988. Over the years, Outback has successfully franchised its business model for the international market and is now nearly 1,000restaurants strong, with locations in 22 international markets including Canada, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Mexico, Brazil and Australia.

All items on its extensive menu from the seasoned seared steaks to the Kookaburra wings and coconut shrimp are made using only fresh ingredients. Diners can also enjoy a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to complement their meals including a unique selection of cocktails, Australian beers and wines.

Outback is on the look out for area developers to bring the 'outback experience' to China, Spain, Russia, Italy, France, Germany, Portugal and Latin America and the UK, capable on all fronts of doing a minimum 10 stores over a four to six year period, with financials to back up that ability and willingness to put dedicated management on to the venture. They seek solid business people who have or can put an experienced restaurant team in place to develop and run the business.

Interested parties will be able to confirm that they are:

  1. Interested in 10 store potential deals
  2. Person or company with substantial financial foundation...a figure of £1 million has been indicated
  3. Willing to give personal guarantees or LOC as part of any agreements
  4. Prepared to enter into a minimum of five store development deal to start
  5. Person or company that has relevant CDR experience or willing to put in place experienced CDR management team

A proven track record in hospitality coupled with a good local knowledge is essential as is a burning ambition to develop a minimum of four restaurants within the first four years of trading.
