The Soap Story is an innovative franchise concept focused on a mouth-watering range of soaps and bathroom products. Perfectly placed to take advantage of the massive growth in the beauty and personal care sector, it now seeks new country Masters and individual franchisees to share in its success

When you enter The Soap Story you are met with a real feast of the senses...an amazing range of soaps, shower products and bath gels arranged in an unbelievably eye-catching way with a vast range of fragrances. All this is designed to guarantee to get customers entering your store, buying and coming back again!
Central to the range are over 100 types of the highest quality glycerine-rich soaps. The soaps are presented in a specially designed innovative layout to provide appeal. But it is not just about soap...from their own factory in the Netherlands The Soap Story provides amongst its products, for example, a range of 25 fragrances in shampoo and shower gels, 50 different sorts of bath bombs and effervescents, body scrubs and salts and a range of exclusive accessories. In total they have over 500 products and they are developing all the time.
Diego Lagache, Director of The Soap Story told me more about the philosophy. "We make sure that there are attractive products for everyone, young, old, men and women. Everyone can find something in their favourite colour or scent either to pamper themselves or as a very nice gift."
The Soap Story has developed a unique interactive retail concept. All customers are encouraged to experience the products in store - smelling the scents, feeling the textures and even using the specially designed sink demonstration area to try the range for themselves. The customer can even help prepare a personalised gift basket at the special wrapping table. Training gives shop employees and owners expert knowledge of the benefits of the range. A typical shop unit has 50-70m2 and is in a shopping centre or busy pedestrian area.
A proven formula which is expanding
The Soap Story has proved its formula with successful expansion programmes in Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Spain and Portugal. In total there are over 40 shops functioning with future planned growth of up to 150 stores in these countries.
The Soap Story is committed to rolling out its unique concept across all Europe and the Middle East and continues to look for entrepreneurial business partners to share its success.
Simple to run and a great investment
"Our shops provide excellent business opportunities because they are easier to control than most franchises. Our products have long expiry dates and we do not have strong seasonal trends, like clothes or shoes. Also our products have an exceptionally high margin for the franchisee," says Mr Lagache.
"We want to talk to investors and business people about exploiting whole countries or areas with us as Masters, or independent people interested in individual shops in our existing countries."
